ah I should have mentioned I need the 16gb for video editing, but swapping the ssd for a hdd will save a few hundred in turn allowing me to get the platinum warranty. thanks Keynes

Looks like a solid build and in other news I am very jealous and hate you. Please let me know what the noctua cooler is like as I am considering one myself.

I was looking at the NH-D14 a while ago and meant to buy one to go into my new build, then completely forgot. Hmmm, maybe a bit of amending going on soon.

the D14 is mint! Noctua are really good too. easy to install, great cooling, quiet.... but quite big... can get an extra set of fan clips from Noctua for free, if you want to add a third fan...
can always change the fans like i did.
Buy it now!

How quiet is it Tom?

its pretty quiet, but i dont use the noctua fans. Which is one problem with the cooler. The fans are older 3 pin fans, so if you were to get it. I would strongly suggest getting two-three new PWM 4pin fans, of a decent brand. But this isnt 100% needed as the 3pin fans are good enough.

there are other large air coolers that do perform pretty well, such as bequiet, planteks, or silver arrow coolers.
