Little green light just appeared in top left corner of my touchpad - never noticed before - what is it and can I turn it off?

Little green light just appeared in top left corner of my touchpad - never noticed before - what is it and can I turn it off?

You can normally apply shortcuts like disabling the trackpad and other things by tapping in various parts. Just double tap the light to see if it toggles it.
