Screen jumps/ skips

when playing swtor, running around the screen sort of jumps/ skips every second. I've tried all setting in game it still happens and my gpu driver is up to date

Check that it is connected properly but apart from that, I don't know, it is strange! It may just be the game. Sorry that I can't help further than this. You may have to ring pcs because a 580 shouldn't do that. Best of luck, sorry I can't be more of a help.

@walkington, if ya go into the nvidia control panel, update, (cant remember where on taskbar but it there, cant get on my pc to check) but it will tell you if ya drivers are up to date, theres also a selection for beta drivers, I'd tick that, then ya get the newest drivers out.

Could be something like internet/router config? How is your internet connection? It is also a pretty new game, reliant on bandwidth/internet connection, and I have seen a few youtube vids of stuttering/skipping during gameplay. These could be related to early teething problems their end on servers etc. or it could be due to a poor router setup.

The main thing is in this case; are there any other online games that have this problem? Could there be anyone else hogging the bandwidth? Do any offline games you run have the same problem?
Downloading the beta drivers is a good start (shouldnt really be a solution with that card, slightly older drivers on this game will work fine, nothing ground breaking in this title graphics wise) but check other games too; and see if this narrows your problem down.
