Sandy Bridge problem

i have recently ordered the following spec:

a short while after ordering this spec, i heard about intels' sandy bridge problems. i don't really want to wait until march to get this, as i have been wanting a new computer for a really long time now.
here's my question:
the motherboard i ordered comes with 2 sata 6gb/s ports, so if i was to connect the HDD and the DVD drive through these would this solve the problem? i understand that this would mean i would not be able to add any more HDD's or DVD drives in the future, but thats fine.
also, if this would work, would i be able contact you to amend the order so that these devices are connected through the 6gb/s ports rather than the 3gb/s ports?

The only customers affected by this issue are customers who have ordered multiple hard drives and/or multiple optical drives. Irrespective of this, we will be contacting you shortly by email or telephone to discuss if/how you may be affected, and what solutions are available. The current proposals are:

does this mean, that since i only have one HDD and one DVD i am unaffected? yey! i was worried about this for nothing!
can i ask if the whole sandy bridge problem has shortened the ETA of computers that are not affected by this problem?

Yea you are uneffected, you have 2 SATA 6gb/s on that board, one for your HDD the other for your DVD. The only problem is if you wish to add other optical drives or HDD's in the future, if you arent, then you wont be effected by the issue.

thanks mike. i was sent an e-mail a while ago by PCS (that i have only just found) and have now opted to add a 2 port SATA 3GB/s PCI/PCI-E card. i don't have an intention of adding any more HDDs or any optical drives, but you never know, so i figured this would be the best choice.
much happier now this is all sorted. can't wait to get it

haha, you know. i managed to put it out of my mind for about a week, and time went so much faster, but now its back there and time will go slow again. been about 2 weeks since i ordered her, so its not long left
