I have just loaded Samsung Magician onto my new PCS pc.

When I run it it says This drive is not supported. (which ever drive I choose.)

My system has:

1st Hard Disk 500GB Samsung 850 EVO 2.5" SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (upto 540MB/sR | 520MB/sW)
1st M.2 SSD Drive 256GB SAMSUNG PM961 M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 2800MB/R, 1100MB/W)

Yeah, that’s definitely right... I would uninstall it, then right click on the install package and select “run as administrator”.

Not sure why, but when I installed it I did “run as administrator”. Will try the other way round next time - lol - then report back. I did not intend to change anything by using it, just wanted to see what it said about my system.

The Magician software will not recognize the PM961 as these are classed as OEM drives (not consumer ones like the evo & pro models).
However, it should recognize the 850 evo.

This would also have been my thinking.

There's other software to do similar things at least.
