Right graphics card?

I bought my pc last year and it had problems with the graphics card. I finally managed to send it back and got told it had been replace last month, Ive just been looking at it though (having a problem with a game, thinking it should run better than it should) and Im not sure if the card is the one I paid for?

I should have AMD® Radeon® R9 M290X - 4GB DDR5 Video RAM (Special Offer)
What I have is AMD Radeon(TM) HD8970M

Im no expert anymore but can someone else tell me this is wrong before I ring up pcspecialist.......?

From previous threads the R9-m290x is listed as the HD 8970m. It is supposed to be a similar gpu.
