Repairs experience with PCS

Hi All,

Just wanted to drop a note thanking PCS for their repairs with a laptop I purchased a month or so ago. I purchased a Lafite 13.3" laptop that arrived about a week later delivered by DPD. I tried to boot up the laptop and it failed to start - I then tried to plug it in and it worked. Turns out the battery was defective and could charge but not power the laptop itself. I immediately raised an RMA and the same DPD driver picked up the laptop two days later at no extra charge to myself.

About a week later it arrived back with a brand new battery, however when I went to turn the laptop on this time - the screen didn't work. I tried charging the laptop to full, updating drivers, everything - but alas it didn't work. I could hook up an external monitor to the laptop and it worked though, so there was definitely a problem with the screen. Again I raised an RMA and DPD came to pick it up at no extra charge.

Finally it was delivered for a third time and everything looks a-okay! The screen and casing had to be replaced but the laptop was working fine, and these pick up, deliveries and spare parts have not cost me a penny more than what I originally paid. For that, I would like to thank PCS and their great customer service! Just test the laptops a little more before sending them out next time please!

Many thanks,
-Xailter

Good to hear even though you had some issues your still happy with the outcome.
Not often you get positive feedback on the forums as people do not tend to say anything unless there is a problem.

Personally I would of expected a new battery to be sent out and you send the old one back to save you any downtime, as the first RMA carriage may have damaged the screen on return. But hindsight is a great thing.

We love you Ukraine
I'd echo what LFFPicard says on all fronts, I'm just glad it's sorted and thanks for posting your views on the service.

Now it's time to play with the laptop! All else is unimportant :)

Speaking of which, the Laptop for my GF's dad turned up today, I best play with that!

While I agree with that, I believe the Lafite has a "sealed" battery - so it's not quite as simple as my other laptops where you can change them in about 3 seconds :)
