If you can boot in safe mode but not full mode then it's likely a driver issue, however since you still see red lines your problem might be deeper than that. That said, in safe mode the driver is a Windows internal one and since you can't repair or system restore your system it's not impossible that even that driver is damaged somehow.

If you have the original Windows 7 install disk I would boot that and see whether you still see red lines. If you do then you most likely have a hardware issue. If you don't get red lines with the Windows install disk booted then your problem is most likely a damaged Windows system, so do a clean reinstall of Windows 7 using that install disk.

Ah, the spec you posted said Windows 7 that's why I suggested you boot that install disk. If you're on Windows 10 then boot Windows 10 install media instead. If you don't have Windows 10 install media then use another PC (or a friend) to download the latest Windows 10 install files onto a USB stick (at leat 8GB) using the Windows Media Creation tool at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10. Then boot that on your PC...

By your description I believe that would point to the GPU. The P8Z77-V should have an HDMI port on it that you could try. I don't know if it will be disabled with the GPU plugged in so it may need to have the GPU removed before you can run this trial.

It sounds like your system is crashing when the GPU driver is trying to kick in.

Hi guys so restall window 7 from the disc I was given when got my pc but now saying my window 7 is not genuine.
That will be because you upgraded your Win7 to Win10, so the Win7 license you had is no longer valid for Win7 as it is now a Win10 license.
If you follow the link ubuysa posted you can create a Win10 bootable USB/dvd so you can reinstall Win 10 and it should then recognise it as genuine version of Windows.

This may be my fault for advising you to install Windows 7. I hadn't realised that you have upgraded to Windows 10 since you got it - because you didn't tell us. :)

You need to download a copy of the Windows 10 installation files, probably on another PC, by using the Media Creation Tool at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10. I would suggest you use a USB stick because it's faster and more convenient than a DVD, the USB stick needs to be at least 8GB. The media creation tool will make bootable installation media on your USB stick which you can then boot in your PC.

I've moved your post back to your other thread as you haven't finished the troubleshooting on your old card yet.

The idea is to do a completely clean install of windows, install and configure all drivers, don't install any other software apart from a game for testing and see if the issue remains.

so do you mean restall the game ? and plug the graphic card back in? worry same thing will happen to like before then go boot cycle again and cant load windows again? and have wipe everything again

That won’t happen.

You need to determine if it was software or hardware related. At the moment you still have no idea if the graphics card is faulty or not.

You can always just install something like unigine valley instead of a game to test the graphics.

Make sure all windows updates are installed and it’s on the latest version (18.09)
