Hi,
Almost a year ago I bought a recoil IV, details as shown below:
Overall, I am happy with it, however, the pc seems to run really hot without even doing anything. I've used HWMonitor, and with no load on it runs at around 60C (see picture, the high temperatures are also on no load, haven't launched any games or anything), whereas while gaming it can easily ramp up to 90-95C even on games that aren't very demanding. I have cleaned the inside of the laptop, reapplied thermal paste, and even fiddled a tiny bit with undervolting the laptop (-0.133 still runs stably, for example) but it does not seem like any of these have had a noticeable impact on the temperatures, as the screenshot I attached is AFTER I did all of these.
I've read up on other threads regarding this issue, and it seems like other people tend to have the same problem as me. Given this, are these temperatures overall normal for the recoil and I am being paranoid, or should I be contacting PCS to take a look at it because it could be faulty parts? Also, I read on other threads that a fresh install of windows might help, is this something I should be looking into doing or is it not worth it? The current version of windows is something I installed myself after receiving the computer with no OS.
