Hi All!
Some days ago I received my new Recoil laptop.
I came from an Apex 15,6 which was surely powerful as a notebook but it had some disadvantages, such as no iGPU to switch to when browsing, thus causing a lot of noise if not set to a low performance mode.
My Recoil, instead, is nearly silent, so much that initially I thought soething went wrong with the fans. But, it turned out that fans were indeed rotating and temperatures were just fine. I was prepared to the laptop being quite noisy so I bought also a cooling stand but at the moment it stays off most of the times. I have still to try the most demanding games, though. Being nearly silent when brwsing is a definite plus, however.
My configuration as follows (I am from Italy):

I chose the 4080 because it seemed to me the best price/performance ratio. With the power limit for the 4080 and the 4090 being the same 175W, the performance delta is limited within a 15% in average but the cost was more than 400€ more. Of course 16 Gbytes of memory would have been a better guarantee of longevity, but as I change laptops around every 3 years, I don't think that saving some money today is a bad choice. I preferred to invest more on the SSD sector, with enough space for installing everything I want to.
Usage: at the moment I have few complaints. One definitely is the keyboard. It may be me who has not adapted yet to it, but it seems sometimes I miss keys when typing, especially the space key. Tactile feedback is not the best IMO (I use headspeakers anyway as I use it in the salon) but nothing major.
Another issue in my case is the placement of the USB-C connector that is on the rear, near the power input. I use a small hub for my wireless Mouse/headspeakers adapters and the power cord interferes sometimes with the hub cable. Nothing terrible, but higher distance between the two would have been more appeciated, even if it's clear that it was needed for leavign the most headroom for the cooling system.
For the rest, I have no other issues (and as told, the ones reported above are very minor): performance is top notch, noise is good, battery life I don't care about, screen is good for the use I do. And, even if it is not reported in the specification on the site, it has G-sync. Surface of the laptop gets barely warm even when gaming.
All in all, solid 8/10.
