RECOIL 16- screen specification?

Hi all, Im considering this laptop to be workstation for graphics and 3d applications. The hardware looks great but I need convincing on the quality of the screen as I will also be doing colour critical work.

Other manufacturers using the tongfang chassis such as the XMG Neo are listing the screen as an IPS panel. Is this the case regarding the panel on the RECOIL 16?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The panels swap out depending on stocks, so what the fit early on may change as stocks start to run out.

Laptops are normally announced at CES in January for release shortly after so this chassis is nearing the end of its launch cycle.

Your best bet is to phone PCS and ask for the panel model they’re currently using
Or hope that someone who’s recently bought it will run HWinfo for you which will list the panel model under display

Then you can search panelook for instance to find out exact specs (this is just an example, not the screen they use)

Thanks Spydrtracks I did speak to someone at pcs. They were helpful without being definitive.

They gave this link - https://www.panelook.com/NE170QDM-NZ1_BOE_17.0_LCM_overview_61793.html

This is for the recoil 17 but essentially saying the panel is the the same for the 16''.

The XMG NEO 16 which uses the exact same chassis as the PCS recoil 16 uses the - https://www.panelook.com/NE160QDM-NZ1_BOE_16.0_LCM_overview_52597.html

This makes sense to me.

The 17'' version has a panel type listed as - a-Si TFT LCD, LCM

The 16'' version lists the panel type as - Oxide TFT-LCD, LCM.

So slightly different panels types for the different size laptops.

The 16'' panel is listed on XMG as an IPS display as well as on notebookcheck.com - https://www.notebookcheck.net/Schenker-XMG-Neo-16-E23.711164.0.html

I just want confirmation that the recoil 16 uses this panel. I need an IPS panel as a minimum requirement.
