Hi forum.
I wanted to share the config below for a desktop replacement with high specs. Budget max 2500eur
Config below 2499eur (perfect!)

Use will be mainly vritialization/containerization and simulation, with capability of running some flight sim and similar

Main thing is that I believe rtx 4060 (which is roughly 10%slower than rtx3070ti) is more than enough for occasional but intensive gaming and that surplus can be invested in 32gb ram more and liquid cooling. Within the budget fast track 3 days dispatch. Which I like.

Do you agree with my idea and config?

Just for information, PCS are a system integrator.

What it comes to laptops they have a manufacturers chassis, in their case Clevo or TongFang. These are just the motherboard, case, screen and keyboard. The PCS build the specs you request into the chassis

There are lots of system integrators around the world, mainly dealing with Clevo and TongFang chassis.

The Recoil 16 is a TongFang chassis

If you get a spec together and post to forum it states the chassis model number at the bottom, that's what you need to search for any reviews.

Even if over budget by 277eur it think with a 4070 will be better balanced at the end.

I make intensive use of containerization and virtualization, that's why 64gb. Hope this config will be stable.
I rarely play but when I do I prefer flight sym.

today the same config is at +27,00EUR
total would be 2808EUR while I ordered for 2781EUR
I noticed during weekends price could drop a little.
In general prices are higher during the week.
Just a rough observation, it could be a corner case.
Anyway, happy to have the order placed and saved 27eur (awaiting shipment)

Anyway, I'll test this beast asap in particular:
- Water cooling noise and actual usability (I work 24/7 with laptop always online as a run several services on it)
- Electric consumption at lower loads (I choose all latest tech mostly because GPU/CPU can work at way lower TDP than previous generation Gen12th/RTX30x)
- Flight Simulator and X-Plane performances at 1018 and 1440 (basically the only game I play sometimes)
- GPU: RTX 4070 in this config sould be roughly 20% better than RTX 3080 Ti, I want to verify that

In general, I believe RTX4060/70 are beautiful choice for money, mostly bc of the optimization (way more power at lower TDP)
While the worst are 4080/90 (too power for too little improvements and many instability issues, I want a system as STABLE as possible)

and 4080/90 are simply ridiculous for laptop imho.
I can't imagine any laptop configuration where those GPU won't cause problems.

Remember, laptop GPUs aren't the same as desktop GPUs, it's actually different silicon, so a desktop 4070 will be around a laptop 4090

I'm talking about mobile versions only
