Good morning one and all!

Ok I have this major problem I have a desktop pc tower built by pc speacialist it's a good machine don't get me wrong!

my motherboard developed a fault with the pci express lanes and I had to send it off that was 3 weeks ago only got it back this friday (motherboard is an asus sabertooth p67)
when I phoned to ask what the fault was asus told pc specialist it was my bios causing the problem which was 3602 even thou I was using this bios few months before a fault had developed and was told that asus had put an older virsion of bios on there and therefore was all ok.

comes Friday I got my mobo I reinstalled all wires cpu etc and went to turn on and it was not booting all fans spinning but just not booting. Eventually I mangaged to get it to boot as I looked at the bios and it had not been changed the new bios 3602 was still on there even thou asus said they had put older version on.
I seem to have more problems now than before sending it off for instance when I shut down pc windows would log off but my all my pc fans hdd and mobo would still be on when I go to start up pc it would switch on then straight away turn off i would have to wait abit then try again and then it would turn on but then my pci express lane LED would stay red to say there is a fault so I would have to switch off take out 24pin power to mobo then wait a few mins and reconnect it.
My pc would then boot up fine I can play games etc but then when I shut off pc and leave it again I get the same problems I reinstalled windows no luck taken out anything that might cause a problem no luck it is a very clean machine so there is no dust etc no over heating as my cpu idles at 22 and full load about 45 I just cant think off anything else I don't think it could be my psu as when it's working I can play games ie bf3 no problems I would love to be able to show pc specialist the whole pc so they can have a good look themselves but cant afford the postage would pc specialist be able to help out with this and pay for the whole tower to be sent back as a good will gesture with the problems I have had and as a nice christmas present.

any help would be so helpful

merry crimbo

I think you have little choice but to send it back to PCS for them to fix. Did you just send the mobo back before? Was that your call or did PCS suggest you do that? Your best bet is to call them on Monday (a busy day so be prepared for a wait) and talk this over with them. It would obviously make more sense to send the whole thing back and get them to do the fault-finding.

Sorry I can't help more.

BTW. You post would be much easier to read if you used proper sentences, paragraphs and punctuation. :)
