Hello guys, my buddy tells me that if i plan to overclock my computer and use it for long sessions i should think about investing in a ram fan. Ive seen his and its the kingston blue fan on amazon, looks pretty slick. Its only £17 but wanted to get your opinions....

Good use of £17?
Good for looks only?
Waste of money?

Also my pc at this time is still in building on its 11th working day, waiting for an out of stock graphics card (6950) :(. But would it fit on my computer with the big fan? here are my specs. I take it there easy to fit just plug them into motherboard.

Thanks guys & gals.

You could for peace of mind but as long as you have a good case (which you have) you should have no problems with the RAM overheating. Would be worth keeping an eye on the GPU temps though if you are into long, monster gaming sessions. Plus 16GB seems a bit overkill if you are just going to be gaming.

Also, any room in your budget to go for the GTX 570/6970 to get your system quicker and better gaming performance..?

The computer isn't going to be used just for gaming. It is a little bit of an overkill but i think that i will use it at its limits a few times in its life. correct me if i am wrong but isn't there only a small difference in the 6950/6970? If you think its going to help performance i might upgrade. Save me waiting for the 6950 to come in stock too :).

If you add a ram fan you will more than likely block about half the intake fan on the titan so personally i would forget it.
