Good evening.
I recently purchased the Defiance 17" and I'm wondering if I've made a mistake and should of brought the Recoil instead. But I have a few questions if anyone has purchased this laptop and is / or able to answer regarding the laptop and this as a potential build.

Display
I've opted for the 144Hz display, for the above specs would it be worth spending the additional £200 to get the 300Hz display?
Processor
Is there any significant benefit for going for the i9 10900K over the i7 10700K? I know I said no set budget but if the difference is negligible then obviously I will try and cut costs. What about power and overheating considerations?
Power Adapter
I see that the laptop requires 2 power blocks. This will sound like a numbskull question but still. Does it really requires 2 plug sockets to plug in this laptop? I'm aware that this is a Desktop Replacement and requires a beefy amount of power but still I'm conscious of plug socket real estate.
Are two plugs for a laptop likely to be a thing from now for DTR?
Also, if you brought the Recoil, did you get the little power brick housing unit with the order or would that be something ordered in separately?
Fans
How loud are the fans when gaming. The fans on the Defiance I recently purchased are very loud and are like a jet engine. If you have experience with the Recoil, would you consider playing AAA games in a public place or in a living room with family and be happy that the fan noise would be acceptable?
My old Octane DTR laptop from 4 years ago was quite a fair bit quieter than the Defiance I have now. However the Defiance is a slimmer build and so I'm wondering if DTR might be abit quieter due to better ventilation? Or is my chain of thinking wrong?
Temperature
What sort of temperature's does this laptop get to when idling and when gaming? My Defiance gets to 90 degrees CPU and around 60 degrees GPU which seems very high to me for a brand new laptop. I was wondering if it might be something similar or less on the Recoil due to the better vents.
Or perhaps these temps are normal?
I thank you for any help or advice you're able to give.
