Question for 15/17" Vortex IV Owners

Hi, I have a small request for anyone who owns a 15/17" Vortex IV laptop. Can you please tell me if there is an option to disable Secure Boot in the UEFI boot menu? (You should be able to access the menu by pressing F2 at boot-up.)

And one other question, is there a non-OS-specific means of disabling the keyboard backlight in these laptops, such as a physical switch or an option in the UEFI boot menu?

You can disable secure boot in the bios, yes.

Go to security/secure boot control - disable.

There is no setting for keyboard lights outside of windows that I know of.

I don't have my Vortex IV yet, but are you sure there isn't an fn function anywhere on the keyboard to switch the backlighting off?

There is but only if it's installed in windows and only able to activate it or disactivate when in windows.

Thanks for the information and quick response. ^^

Going by a quick web search, it seems there are some ways of controlling the keyboard backlight of Clevo laptops in a Linux-based OS, so I'll just look into these further if the Fn key functionality doesn't work out of the box.

You can completely turn the keyboard backlight off by pressing the Fn and the numpad star key, you can turn it off or on anytime you want I have attached pictures to show you the exact keys below.
