Question about case fans to do with my MOBO

Hiya
I recently got my new PC from here, and it's excellent, but my GPU (GeForce GTX590) seems to run a little bit too toasty for my liking - varies between 30 degree C and 40 at idle, and gets to between 50 and 80 when in game - maybe thats fine, im not overly sure, as i've gone looking through forums about it, and people say they get about 20 at idle. So if i wanted to get a new case fan for the side (look in sig for my case) where would i connect the power cable to my ASUS® P8P67 PRO mobo? I've spent about 20 minutes trying to figure it out, but i just can't see any where.. maybe i'm being stupid aha. Lil' help any one?

Ideally you would connect the cable to the mobo but youll probably have to connect the fan straight to the PSU using the two connectors shown below together (If your connectors are different please say) These are called molex 4pin by the way

Yeh colour is irrelevant
Just power everything off take out the plug and connect that to the fan
Then power back up and it should be working fine

ahh okay, do i have to buy that cable on top of it, or would the fan have a connector to connect to that? or will it just vary? + rep btw for the help :)

Yeah, i'm not going to get one yet. I was looking around Scan.co.uk, and correct if im wrong but the CM690 MKII supports 140mm fans at the side of the case right?

Left side: 120 / 140 mm fan x 2

So yeh it can support up to two side fans of 140mm size

Saying that looking at the case infront of me it has 3 different mounting sizes so ill have to check that out :)

Great case choice by the way :)

If you're sticking some fans in the side, be sure to get some filter material if you're using them as intakes otherwise you'll just be drawing in a whole heap of dust all over your nice new fans and all over your expensive components!

Theres all sorts of stuff available for using as a filter, some people even use womens tights! :S
I don't know what to use, I'm still on the look out for something suitable that won't affect the asthetics of the case and will filter suitably without affecting airflow too much!
I found THIS on Amazon that I'm tempted by.
