Hi
I'd like some advice on how to replace my PSU.
This morning I flicked the wall socket switch for my computer which resulted in a crackling bang and a flash from the back of the PSU. Which resulted in tripping all the wall sockets. I reset the trip switch but no power going to computer so I'm guessing the PSU blew up.
Its a CORSAIR 850W PSU (TX850) 80+ ULTRA QUIET. Has anyone got any vids, step by step guides on replacing it like for like and a place to buy one?

Thanks

The computer is just over 2 years old

The manufacturer's warranty should be longer than 2 years for your PSU. If you purchase the computer from PCS I'd suggest seeking assistance from them before buying a new power supply.

Definitely check with PCS / Corsair regarding your PSU

Although that site caters for the new warranties (post September 2011) they will definitely be able to advise you as to whether you are still covered.

Only thing is they quote

http://www.corsair.com/support/warranty/
Special Warranty Period in the European Union

In the European Union, the minimum warranty period for Corsair products is two years.
