ps3 and pc

i have a 80gb ps3 (fat) and very rrecently i just got a new pc from here: amd phenom x6 105TT (2.8ghz/9mb cache/am3) , 4gb ram - (1333hmz), 1gb hd ati radeon 5750 , 600w power supply and a 59quid case- T900 malestorm... well, should i sell my ps3 or not?? my friend is ready to buy it at an agreed price of 200 quid , including all games i got (resistance 2, little big planet, far cry 2, killzone 2, Lost , nfs , call of duty mw2 ). should i sell? i am really confused. i dont know about pc gaming... only played warrock (free online fps game) on new pc. in my case, is pc gaming better than ps3 gaming ????????? with this 200quid, i dont know what i can do with it. save some. and also buy a new screen/tv for my new pc? probally a hd 1?(dont have a hd tv in the house at all). well i just want to get blackops in near future as main game i will play online all time. ofcourse a few other games that everyone will play as a big hit. really need help here. time running out. need to make decision fast!

It really comes down to personal preference. The are pros and cons to both platforms. Plenty of people use both.

I won't be selling my PS3 when I get my PC. I probably won't use it as much, well at least for a few weeks, but I still won't be getting rid of it. there are PS3 exclusives that I will still intend on buying. there is also the fact that I have a few good friends on my PS3 that is also a factor in why I won't be selling.

maybe if I had bought my PC before buying a PS3 that would have stopped me buying one to begin with, but as a long time PS3 owner, I will not be selling it just because I have a gaming PC

PC gaming is better than any console, but most PC gamers own both.

Exclusive titles etc are the main reason for keeping the console.

I must admit I have kept my PS3 and wouldn't think of selling it. Not only is it a good games console but it also acts as my media centre - I stream content from PC through my network & it has a blu ray player.

To be honest, if I were you I'd wait, and see how much you still use your PS3, and if you end up not really using it at all then think about selling it, otherwise keep it.

thinking that with £200 , i can get some cool stuff for pc? well im wondering wether i should get a decent HD screen/monitor/tv to connect to PC.

I am a PC convert and a Playstation player from the PS1 days and i would personally hold on to it!! You get the best of both worlds, killer PS3 exclusives and multi paltform games on the PC which will always be heck of a lot better than the ps3/360!!

hmm true.. but i hardly buy games. over them 2 years with ps3, i got 7 games in total .... well i like only online games were tthere lots of people playing. such games like cod mw2 and stuff (fps games ). the real cconcern now , i had made my mind to sell my ps3 to my friend . but i hear there are alot of cheaters on online games on the pc. like on mw2 and already blackops. now this is not helping make my decision at all

would my pc be able to play blackops, at a good gaming level? is there any point in a hd tv/screen for some gaming (and other general pc stuff). + i guess thers alot of pc gamers here... do you get really annoyed of cheaters in your games ?

Well if you ended up going with the HD5750 you could probably play it a with low/medium settings at 1920x1080, TV screens aren't really the way to go for PC gaming and while I haven't played any games in a while (stuck with a dell laptop until I order a shiny desktop) there is more cheaters/hackers in PC games simply beacause it's easier to do.

What kind of games do you enjoy playing? Personally I think PS3 + PC is a very good combo covering all game types. I will be buying a PC shortly mainly so I can play Shogun 2 but I'm equally excited about all the PS3 exclusives such as Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet 2, Uncharted 3 etc.

i like playing fps games , and online multiplayer mostly . such as callofduty modernwarfare 2 . i just love online play . Err but i dont spend much on games. thing is, lots of people i see say pc gaming - online , ther are lots of cheaters, such as in cod mw2 and even blackops already.
