Hi Everyone,
This week i received my brand new Proteus VI. Since i couldn't find too much reviews about his Laptop before purchase i decided to make one by myself for you guys.
This is my second laptop from PcSpecialist. The first one was a Optimus 8 it was a very decent chassis but this Proteus VI is marginally better!
The full case is made by aluminum so no cheap plastic feel anywhere. It's really looks and feels like a very high quality laptop.
About the specs. I really wanted to buy something that will last for a few years so i changed specs with a Samsung Pro 850 512gb , SK Hynix 512gb Nvme, 2x8gb HyperX 2400mhz memory. All i can say this beauty is a BEAST. So far i tested with Rainbow Six Siege, Division 2, WoW:Bfa and these games can run on ultra settings without any issue. The tests with pictures also on ULTRA settings.
In the games i didn't have any problem with heat. I managed to UV the 8750H with -160mV so don't have any issue with the temps because its never reach more than ~80 degrees celsius. The RTX 2070 is around ~60-75 degrees celsius in games and i didn't try to UV the GPU so its all standard untouched settings with the lastest Nvidia driver.
Im very impressed about this purchase and i recommend to anyone who is hesitating.
Very important detail its a Quanta NL5E FHD IPS Chassie and not Clevo. Quanta is also an OEM brand like the Clevo.
