Prospective build - thoughts please?

A shameless cross-post from Liquid Series as i realise i may get a better response from this forum. Mods: I'll remove the other post if duplication is frowned on.

I'm just waiting on the new NVidia 3080 cards to be available in the liquid series configurator to be available before placing my order. Can i ask those of you knowledgeable in such matters if the build i have selected makes the best use of the components.

I have 2 questions on this build:
1. Will the new 3000 series cards have water blocks available on the launch day (17th) - i know EK have said they they will have 3080 blocks available.
2. I really want RGB ram sticks (aesthetics mostly) but they are only showing as 3200Mhz sticks - the MB i have selected can support up to 4400Mhz and reviews put the sweet spot @ 3600Mhz. Are RGB RAM sticks available @ 3600Mhz?

I need 64GB as this machine will be used, not only for gaming but for running multiple VM's for work use.

The Build:

Memory (RAM)
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz (4 x 16GB)
I Need 64GB but would prefer 3600Mhz RAM - i may overclock this 3200Mhz to 3600 - i'll see how that goes

Some things don't really add up with the build to be honest. With your intended build I would tend to steer clear of custom loop. There's no real need for it, especially with a 3900X. If you dropped the custom liquid cooling and went with the likes of the H115i RGB to cool the chip, you could save a fortune and up the processor to the likes of the 3950X.

I wouldn't recommend overclocking any of the AMD chips as this bottle necks the upper frequencies when using less threads. The difference to multi-core is measureable of course but pretty much negligible in most use cases.

If you need Wifi you want the AX200 as the stock option isn't very good.

For the RAM there is no 3600 RGB on the configurator that I am aware of. They may be able to order it in though if you call up and ask for it.

Thanks Scott. Are there any red flags on this build though? I picked a custom loop as i want the pc to be a showcase build, not one tucked away under the desk but up on top with all the *bling* on show so i'm prepared to spend a bit on the look & feel over all out performance.. WiFi is not an issue as i'm only 2m from my router & only use a wired connection. As for the overclock - i cant choose in the configurator a non-overclocked spec.

The build looks fine other than the custom loop and the Wifi to me. I would drop the wifi altogether in your case :)

With regards to the look. You should check out the 500D SE case with the H115i Platinum RGB cooler and 1 or 2 additional ML120 RGB fans ;)

I would have that over any custom looped build any day of the week,. The hassle of maintaining it properly would grow old very fast.

Nice and easy to do - this system will be matched with my 55" LG 4k TV :) REALLY looking forward to getting this. I have some additional bits to add (another M.2 drive and a couple of 3.5" drives - and Windows 10 Pro)
