Problem connecting dash cam to pc

Ok so I've recently purchased a nextbase 522GW dash cam to go in the new motor, and have downloaded and installed the player software from nextbase, which installed on the Berserker fine, however when I follow the Ibstock to connect the camera to the pc, the camera connects and then drops out as per this video

If I follow the exact same procedure with the laptop everything works fine

I’ve got the older 512GW, and found it picky with the choice of cable (would only works with the provided cable). But if that same cable is working on the laptop then it should be fine in the PC.

Provided cable is very short, I've ordered a couple of cables from amazon, due to arrive later today, so will see what happens with them
