Win 7 has its own power management modes (Balanced, High Performance, Power Saver) but the Vortex II also came with a program which sits in the tray (Power Conservation Modes 3.3020) and has three options of Performance, Balance and Energy Star. The two methods of adjusting power modes seem to be independent, does anybody know details of how this works? Say I pick Balanced in Win 7 and Performance in the 3.3020 program, is the effect maximum performance of the laptop?
Edit: This is the Hotkey 3.3020 program. Does it have any keyboard shortcuts as its name would suggest? Does it have any advantages over the Win 7 power modes?
