Please Give Me The Final Go Ahead

Hey, so after weeks of waiting I think this is going to be the Desktop I will order. I just wanted to run it by the experts (you guys) to see what you think...

I will be playing games on max settings, running 2 monitors including a 46" display and every other general use of a PC really. I am not bothered about over-clocking it or anything so haven't bothered going for the K version although the toughest 2 choices for me to make are whether to have the Z87-PRO board or the Maximus VI Gene board...? (theres like a £2 difference but choose the Z87-PRO because its gold :)) and the other one was whether to have 8GB 2400mhz RAM or 16GB 2400mhz RAM ...? I hear that 8GB is plenty but then other people seem to think games like Total War Rome 2 will need 16GB? ...(and that is a game I would defo be wanting) Any help is appreciated

I am pretty sure total war won't require 16gb memory ram and the higher memory bandwidth won't provide any significant performance gaming wise. I would suggest upgrading the case for better cooling with a sli setup and the non-pro version of the motherboard should provide the same performance for your intended use and cheaper.

So would I not notice a real difference between 2400mhz and 1600mhz? If I changed it to the 8GB 1600mhz RAM and changed the board to Z87-M would I not really notice a difference to the spec I posted? I am not a big fan of any of the other cases to be honest I am a fan of the Alienware cases and I think the Zalman is the closest looking thing hence I choose that lol.

+1 and are you sure about the mouse, have you had a go with one? 120 beans is a lot of money if you're just taking a punt because its a Razer. My Perixx one cost £6 and does a job.

There is no noticeable difference between 2400mhz and 1600mhz gaming wise. I would suggest the Z87-A , the z87-M is a micro motherboard with less expansion slots. My suggestions for the case is for better cooling and airflow since you have 2 GPUs in your spec, you spending close to almost £1800 in your spec but £59 in your case.

Hmmm... I am going to have a look at other cases then and see if I can be swayed to pick another. As for the mouse I just thought it looks uber cool so decided to take a punt ha (maybe a silly decision also) but these are the reasons I thought I am best to post the spec first before going ahead with it.

Just picking up something Grimezy often mentions, its definitely worth popping into a PC World or something and just trying a few mice out. They might look great and have fantastic reviews but we dont all have the same size hands, you may not find it comfortable. It'd be rubbish spending so much to realise its ruining your gaming experience and as you use it a lot, not the thing you want to get wrong really.

I bought a cheap one knowing that if i didnt like it it was no big deal, turns out its perfect for me and Im so glad I didn't pay for a premium mouse now.
