In reply to network card question,
The "0/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT - AS STANDARD ON ALL PCs" is all you need if you can connect to your router with an ethernet cable,if you need to connect by wireless, you need either a wireless card like the one you selected,or alternatively homeplugs.
Homeplugs can provide a better and more reliable connection than wireless.
They are basically a wired ethernet connection through your domestic wiring, plug one homeplug in to a wall socket next to your router then connect an ethernet cable from the homeplug to your router, plug the other homeplug to a wall socket next to your PC & connect an ethernet cable from that to your PC.

Looks like it is :)

Lol
Yeah it is for gaming and my budget is a £1000 but i wanted to know if this would be sufficient for the coming years of gaming and is this enough ram for the processor and to hold a fair amount of large games??

For demanding games the gtx 650 ti will struggle, you don't need an i7 for your intended use. You may want to consider getting an i5 and upgrading the graphics card.

You may want to consider the 21.5" AOC or the 22" Iiyama instead of the Samsung, unless you particularly want that model, mainly because that Samsung only has 1680x1050 which is smaller than the two I mentioned, also the 2 I mentioned are slightly cheaper to boot :)

Mouse Microsoft Sculpt Touch Bluetooth Wireless Mouse (£38)
You might want to check with your son which mouse he would want, for spending 40quid on a mouse I'd definitely make sure :) I only say that because that mouse isn't a gaming mouse and he may want one and you can get gaming mice for about the same price that may well be much more appreciated.
