Hi, please can you check the bellow spec and make any suggestions? Could you also comment on my chosen graphics cards, i.e. are the good or would the NVIDIA GeForce be better? I am currently running two LG Flatron screens from 1 graphics card, and hope you might explain how to two separate cards will work.

Without indicating what you are planning to use it for it is difficult to give a comment on your spec, you can run 2 screens from a single hd 7950 and the nvidia equivalent is better but slightly more expensive.

Apologies, will mostly just be used for gaming. Assasins Creed, COD, Wow and UT. I prefer to run the 2 screen option, just find that it slows my system way down and thus was hoping the two separate cards will prevent system drag. Does this look a bit better ?

Do you have a budget? If it is mainly got gaming an i7 is not needed as well as overclocking the CPU. I would also suggest a stronger gpu like the gtx 770 as opposed to 2 lesser ones. If you have the SSD as the main drive there is no need to Jane an SSD cache drive.

Yes, budget is 1850, so was hoping to build a decent machine that will last a couple of years, hence why I kinda went over the top a bit. I want a machine that could cope with playing a game on the one monitor while at the same time have a film or whatever run on the second screen without hindering performance in any way shape or form. Knowing my budget now and the goal, would you change your spec or leave it as is? Apologies for my way of explanation, not very technical minded.

I wouldn't. The spec above will allow you to play in 1 monitor and watch a film in the second monitor. You also have the option to add a 2nd GTX 770 in the future. A fan controller is not essential and you could try onboard audio first before adding a soundcard.

I played with the spec you set up and came up with this. Any remarks? Sorry mate, I just want to ensure that this system will last me quite a few years and never know what will come out next year or so, so need to push the specs a bit.

Unless you are planning on overclocking you don't need the k variant of the CPU or the faster RAM speed since both will not make any difference without overclocking.
Most games don't really benefit form overclocking
