True, though it had a 960M and with the price of the 1050 it wasn't a very good deal for price / performance. Would Clevo not have discontinued the older model as well?
There is the https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/ultraNoteIV-15/ with an internal dvd drive though it's integrated graphics only. That said, most games I can think of that don't require a substantial download component anyway would run off Intel HD.
Modern games like TW Warhammer and Witcher 3 that game with discs have been patched substantially enough that a large download is inevitable anyway, while older games may well run on HD graphics anyway. Though I guess there may be some exceptions like some Kalypso games, the odd Bethesda one like Hunted: Demon's Forge or whatever.
I think many people now also use external DVD drives when necessary since so many laptops and even quite a few of the desktop cases no longer have space for an optical drive. Unfortunately it's just how stuff is changing.
