For gaming definitely overkill (motherboard, cpu and gpu if gaming in 1 screen). I think that if you want to futureproof your system I would spend a fraction and just upgrade after a couple of years. Considering how much you are spending in your system I'd suggest upgrading your warranty, parts are only covered by 1 year on silver warranty.

That's quite a beast,if your going to go the full hog,get a caviar black as second hard disk.
If it's for gaming though it is pretty much overkill in almost every department.
As far as future proofing goes it's not guaranteed to be worth the money.

Agree with Keynes, You can get a 'future proof' build for a fraction of the price.
Could go with an i7-3770, GTX 680 (2GB) SLI or even a 670 SLI.

Looks very similar to a high-end spec I'm putting together. I decided on a 690 instead of the two 680s, a caviar black as the second hard disk, a r/w blu-ray drive and three monitors. It is expensive but it is the only computer purchase I'll be allowed to make for 6 to 8 years so I'm making the most of it. Like you I'm aiming for future proofing the solution, though I will be using the rig for graphics work (3D renders) and video encoding. Edit: Oh, and gaming as well!

Both the HDD and SSD look like they've escaped from another spec. Right now they looking around in wide-eyed amazement, whispering, daring each other to be the first to speak to the CPU.
