PC failed during test phase

I contacted PCS earlier today since my pc was still in test after 2 days. They told me, after asking technicians that my pc didn’t pass test but they don’t know why so they are running tests again. They told me the error they received in test but I couldn’t understand what it was. Could it be caused by 4GB of RAM? I’m not willing to spend extra money for RAM since I already have 32GB of RAM at home waiting to go in the computer. My order doesn’t have any notes or whatsoever, it just results “in testing”I’ll post full specs:

Without you being able to tell us what the error was... I'm not really sure what to tell you - The PCS person on the phone would have explained what the technicians told them though - it might have been the RAM but it could easily have been something else.

Do you have any info on what the error was?

I would just leave it to the experts to work it out - especially as they have said they dont know why it failed first time round - these things happen, my laptop failed its test first time around, screen went blank apparently, so they thought it was motherboard, swapped it out - the next one did exactly the same thing - failed again so they knew it wasnt the motherboard then LOL - they will switch a bit around and Im sure if it was a specific component that made things incompatible, they will be in touch to ask you what you want to do. Patience.... :D

Hey, thank you for the reply. I asked if they knew what the issue was, they said it’s undergoing test again to verify if it was hardware or software and as I said they told me the error the machine gave them, but I didn’t understand the name haha. But as said in my previous post as well, I hope it’s not the 4gb of ram resulting not enough to keep up with their tests because I’m not willing to spend more having brand new 32gb Corsair rgb ram waiting at home.

Edit:
Now PC Specialist support mailed me, the same person which inquired the technician saying this:

“Good evening,

As agreed on phone, I verified with technician and unfortunately it’s still in test. If everything is ok it should be ready next week. I’ll check Monday”

I made this call in the morning, asking why it was still in test. When I called again afternoon another guy from support picked up and told me about this failure in test. Now I get this mail from the original support person that I spoke with on phone telling me this

Unlucky man, very unlucky. How much did they take to find your problem, fix it and ship it?

Well funny thing there - it was an Intel build laptop...and I changed my mind on Intel and swapped to an AMD - within that same day they rebuilt new laptop chassis, tested overnight and shipped next day LOL

If I were you I would not worry about it as if it is an insufficient RAM issue im sure they have solutions for that. Just wait to see if it fails the re-test. these things happen.

I’m sure they can imagine that if someone purchase a system with my specs and only 4gb of ram, it means that the customer has the ram at home 😂

Quick update: my pc still results "in testing" since April 7 (build took 2 days as well, they started building on April 5 and finished on April 7, going straight in test). I just received a reply mail from the same guy I spoke with on the phone when I first called, stating it's still in test, that they had contacted the technician but still didn't get a reply for it. Fun fact is that another guy from support said that the technician found an error in the test when I called friday, but when I open my order page it just says "in testing" and not "in testing - problem". I also received mail from PCS this morning (the auto update mail) saying "your pc is still in testing cause of a period of high work load etc..."

Fingers crossed
