This is my second post on here after having problems with the 2nd hard-drive supplied with my new Optimus VII (bought in December). Since then I have had numerous errors with BSOD, originally the seemingly very common DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE but this seemed to go away after I updated the PCI-Express driver (this was the only installed driver that showed as out of date when I used device manager to check drivers).
Since then I have had intermittent BSOD with the error message CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, any ideas what this could be referring to?
Most pressing issue is that on turning my laptop on this morning and opening Firefox a thin, solid black line appeared on my screen. I took a print screen and pasted into paint, but the line wasn't there so I'm assuming this is a problem with the screen itself. I moved the screen on it's hinge a bit which temporarily removed the black line but it came back. I then pressed gently on the border of the screen at the top of the black line and it disappeared . .. . . . BUT there is now a faint line on my screen where everything is much paler. Is this likely to be a pixel related issue i.e. the screen will need replacing? Or could there be a loose connection that I can fix myself?
Cheers in advance for any help.
