Does anyone know exactly what the hotkey app from clevo actually does?

I thought it controlled the function of the various fn+ and other buttons on the laptop, but I noticed there was a new version of the hotkey app on the clevo site so I downloaded it and uninstalled the current version prior to installing the latest. Then before installing the new version I noticed that all the fn+ keys still control their various functions and the airplane mode button still works. The only thing that has been affected is the VGA button which controls which GPU is in use but I never use it anyway as this can be controlled through the software for individual applications....

So I haven't bothered installing the latest version and just left it removed.... Am I missing anything??

Interesting question and since nobody has answered it in the week since you asked I guess the answer is no. All I can suggest is that, as long as everything you need to be working is working then don't bother installing it. Of course, as soon as you run into problems the first thing you should probably do is install the latest Hotkey software. :)
