I have a few questions concerning this build, mainly down to HDD's.

In the hard drive section on the laptop configuration page for the Optimus V, the 500Gb WD Scorpio Black is stated to be SATA 6Gb/s, 16Mb Cache - Where as the other WD Scorpio Blacks in the range are SATA 3Gb/s 16Mb Cache. Is this an error on the websites behalf or does this HDD indeed us the 6Gb/s connection rather than the 3Gb/s connection? Furthermore, would there be any improvement in performance in choosing the 500Gb Seagate Hybrid SSHD drive instead of the WD Black? It has a 64Mb Cache but runs at 5400rpm instead of the 7200rpm that the WD Scorpio black has.

Neither hdd would benefit from sata 6gb/s since they cannot saturate sata 3gb/s. Some drives are advertised as supporting Sata 6gb/s but it wouldn't make a difference unless it is an SSD. If you are choosing an SSD as the main drive I don't think you could benefit from a hybrid secondary drive. Only suggesting I have is to go for the killer 1202 wireless card.

Ok cheers. What benefits would there be of going with the Killer 1202 over the one I have selected?

In some forum threads there are complainings with the intel wireless card dropping signal. I don't experience any issues with the 1202 killer card.
