Optimus V Audio jack Problem? Bad quality/buzz after using headphones

Hi There

I commented on a thread the other day but no one has replied to it yet, nor replied to the Original Poster of the thread. So i thought I would start my own if thats okay.

So far with my machine, the problem only arises after using my Turtle Beach X11 headphones (I have 2 pairs which work fine, but both cause the same issue). Using any other audio device (external speakers via aux, in bud headphones, apples old cheap headphones that came with my ipod...) the sound works fine.

When I use the X11 headset the sound works fine through those too, it is when I have finished with them and wish to return to another device (such as my speakers) that the problem occurs. After using my X11's, using any other audio device connected through the headphone jack either makes the sound all 'underwater'-like (if I use other headphones) or creates a loud buzzing noise on my external speakers (similar to the quick buzz as/when you first plug the jack in, but the noise doesn't go away at all).

I can't see it being a problem with my X11 headset, as:
A) they work perfectly fine
B) my previous laptop never had this issue, and that was a really old Pentium based HP laptop, about 5 years old.
unless there is a known compatibility issue. But I just don't understand what the problem is.

Is there a software or hardware fault with my PC? Please help!!

I should also mention that the buzzing I mentioned above, with regards to using my external speakers, also happens when they are plugged into the audio jack but the laptop is turned off, unplugged and even battery out.

Thanks in Advance, H.
