Optimus V 17.3" hotkey driver

Hi,
I got a Optimus V for christmas yesterday and after spending a few hours trying to get the hotkey drivers to work on windows 7 (i have tryed the ones off the download page on PCS, the one on the disk that came with it, the one off of clevos site and one one a site linked to on a forum) i gave up as the only button that works is the mute button. The L.E.Ds on the right of the keyboard flash on at boot and the only one that lights up once booted is the HDD activity light that worked from the start. Other than the hotkeys not working the laptop works smoothly and plays games perfectly. Also does anyone know if the S/PDIF port is optical or coaxial

Have you configured it after install? It should be in running programs, double click it, then it'll ask you what configuration you have before being fully installed. If it's the wrong version or not configured it won't work.

If I install the version off PCS it doesn't even open an error just pops up (when I turn it on tomorrow I will post the message)

I had a problem with the original Hotkey driver from PCS when I got my Optimus IV around 18 months ago. The (updated) Clevo driver sorted that, so I'd agree with SpyderTracks and suggest you get the latest version from Clevo.

It wouldnt be compatible sadly. Could you PM me your order number and ill get the best driver for you.

having installed the windows 8 drivers the LEDs on the side of the keyboard now function :L

does anyone know if the S/PDIF port is optical or coaxial

the hotkey driver has now stopped working and after reinstalling it still doesnt work. while it was working it never started with windows
