Optimus V 17.3" 2nd hd?

I picked up my new laptop today from PCS they are local to me I was wondering about the 2nd HD that this laptop can have without losing the cd drive I asked the live chat person if PCS could swap my HD I ordered to the 2nd HD slot as I wanted to put in my own SSD in the main drive bay.

I was told that the 2nd HD drive bay was easy to access from the bay but looking at the laptop today there is no bay there only for the first HD it looks like the whole underside needs opening up?

Can anyone confirm this for me and how easy it is? I don't want to invalidate my warranty opening the laptop up

Not sure what you're talking about since I don't have an Optimus 17.3, but you wouldn't void the warranty by opening. The nice thing about PCS is that they -- unlike other brands -- trust their customers to replace parts, upgrade, repaste etc. As long as you don't damage the components, the warranty still holds.
