Hey guys, i came up with this optimus v for 869£ and gf set me a budget for 900£ and i really dont want to sleep in sofa for a week so i tried my best to stay under it

i would use this laptop for gaming and work (design programs) so im not sure if this is the right buy but then again, its the budget i got

is this the best i can get with this budget or you guys think i can get better?

and about games, i know i cant expect anything compared with the 770 and 780m but can it run them smoothly for some years?

Depends on the game and your expectations. Check benchmarks online but as you mentioned the GTX 770m or 780m will provide more futureproof and better performance.

No, it is soldered to the motherboard.

is this enough for the likes of fm14, skyrim, tom raider, bf3/4, sims and maybe nfs most wanted?
FM and SKyrim yes, for the others not sure but it depends on what settings you are expecting to play. Anything will be playable if you lower the resolution/settings.

all fine then, im sure pretty much anything will blow my mind since im coming from a 4500MHD intel gpu haha, never played a game in computer with settings above low :p :( :D

You'll probably find that lowering the resolution, while keeping settings medium-high, for more demanding games gives you a huge FPS boost and doesn't really affect visuals that much on a laptop screen. DPI is still generally a lot higher than full monitor screens.
