My Optimus IV has been going strong up until now, the little power house that it is. I have an SSD and HDD in it, problem is in the last 4 or so weeks the laptop has been making a distinctive clicking sound every now and again for about 3 seconds (presumably when it tries to spin up?) that reminds me of a HDD about to fail. Now, maybe there are others out there who have this model laptop with the same problem and can provide further insight into this otherwise, I may have to backup all my stuff on my NAS quickly before disaster strikes. What's the story for hard drive failure? Can I request an RMA for a specific part or do I have to send the whole thing back? (I can fit the drive NP). Just don't want to be without a laptop with my Thesis and Xmas around the corner! :santa:
