Optimus IV 15.6 screen dims at startup

Hi guys,

I recently installed a SSD for my laptop so that the OS can run from it and the main HDD for storage.

Recently when I restart or start up the screen brightness is set to 70% but as soon as everything has loaded the brightness drops to 5% for no reason...

I have reinstalled the Intel Graphics and there hasn't been an improvement, I was considering to reinstall the Nvidia drivers as my next step...

Anyone know anymore on this?

Make sure you have the latest version of the Hotkey software installed. I had a brightness issue with my Optimus IV that was fixed by the latest Hotkey software. Get it from the Clevo website.

I have used the updated drivers for Hotkeys (start with 7.00) via the Sager website (seem to have some updated drivers) which has the same model but different number (NP6350 I think) but I will uninstall and use the Clevo ones...

Have you noticed that the Powerbiosserver.exe regularly appearing on the Reliability Monitor as 'Stopped Working'?

Nope, never had that. Just checked my Windows 8 task manager and it's running. You should use the Clevo Hotkey I think. :)
