A friend of mine has asked me to source a brand new desktop computer for him. He uses a computer for internet browsing, emails and OpenOffice. He won’t be using the computer for any gaming or video editting. His budget is around £640.
I've done a custom build with the specs below.
I have several questions:
1. I have read several posts from people saying the noise level coming from the fans in case PCS SPECTRUM II COMPACT ARGB MID TOWER CASE (PWM) mATX, is quite excessive. To mitigate this, would getting this case and motherboard (ASUS® PRIME H610M-A-CSM D4) allow me to connect all 3 of the front ARGB PWM fans to this motherboard and make use of PWM? I can't see any PWM headers on this motherboard, but this is an area I have no experience in. If this combination of case and motherboard isn't a good match, what would you recommend instead?
2. Does this spec seem adequate for the machines intended purpose and the budget I've got to work with? I have intentionally chosen an SSD and HDD spinner. We plan to use the SSD for Windows 11 and any programs. The HDD spinner will hold all of my friends data, which currently stands at approx 40GB. The motherboard needs to be able to support a dual monitor setup with either HDMI or DisplayPort ports.
3. With this combination of motherboard and pc case, how many USB 2.0 and/or USB 3.0 ports will be on the:
a. top of the chassis
b. rear
