Nice build, might be worth getting the 1TB Caviar Black as the second hard disk for something like £9 more, and unless you need the i7 processor for your work, the i5-4670 might be a better choice.
Upgrading the motherboard a notch to the Z87-A would give more scope for future add ons/upgrades,as it has more expansion slots.

May as well change the hard driver to 1TB is its only £9 or so.

Probably keep the i7 as the PC will be mainly used for gaming., (eg battlefield 4 etc)

I will change the motherboard to the Z87-A as I can always SLI another card if I want to with this board.

Thanks for the reply.

battlefield and the majority of games won't benefit from an i7. If you want to see a noticeable difference in gaming get the r9-280x or gtx 770.

So you're saying I should go with an i5 instead of an i7? If I did go with the i7, what would that give me that an i5 wouldn't and vice versa.

If I do go with an i5 I can add more money to my graphics card, what would you recommend, a GTX 770 or 780?

Regards

*Edit - GTX 780 is out of my price range, looks like I will just stick with a GTX 770*

The i7 will give you things you don't need for gaming like hyper threading, you can look for benchmarks online.

An i5 seems to be popular choice for gamers in desktops nowadays simply due to the fact games won't benefit highly from the added cost of an i7. It's more cost efficient to use the i5 and put the money into a better GPU, which will increase your performance more than an i7 over the i5.

I'd definitely recommend upping the HDD size though, as you will eat through 500GB very quickly indeed.
