One long beep followed by three short beeps

Hi I ordered a PC specialist custom desktop. Everything was fine until recently, when I'd start up my PC and my Monitors would come on but stay blacked out, Ocassionally a loading screen would show up then it would black out again. I checked and Changed my HDMIs and DP with no luck, I looked online and it was suggested to take out the CMOS/CR2032 battery and put it back in to reset the motherboard/BIOS. I done that (my CMOS was behind the GPU) and now the PC starts up with lights on but, doesn't send a signal to the monitor and has a one long beep, three short beep code which I believe relates to the GPU. Can anyone help me find a solution to this (I have also bought more CR2032 Batteries just incase) I just want my PC back to normal lol
:(

First, remove Norton, which creates issues and offers no additional protection than Defender.

Second, your motherboard is very low-end, lacking even a LED debug. When did you order that PC?

The manual does not include the beep sequences to recognise which component is potentially faulty.

I'd go with the good, old trial-and-error: try reseating the GPU, as already suggested by @Paul1964, and then test the RAM sticks individually.

Too bad you didn't seek advise before purchasing that build; we would have certainly recommended something decent, upgradeable, and appropriate for the purpose, whatever it is.

There isn't a single component in that system that I'd use in a 2023 computer; unfortunately, it's really poorly designed. :(

1 long 3 short on ASUS motherboards points to the GPU. If you've reseated the GPU (suspect you had to removed it to access the CMOS?) and made sure all the connectors are in place, then it does point to a GPU hardware fault. You can try removing a RAM stick and then seeing if it will display and then swapping them to see. If it refuses with either RAM stick, then I'd get in touch with PCS about getting a replacement GPU

I'm gonna bet this is also CPU degredation.

The cooler is nowhere near suitable for the CPU, and as such it will have been heavily thermal throttling which will have increased silicon degredation.

I'm betting this will require a new CPU.

I didnt actually move the gpu funny enough since only about 50% of the battery is blocked by the GPU but i could so I took the battery out and put it back in with the GPU in its same position

Try reseating the GPU and testing each RAM stick individually, as previously suggested.

Welp my friend, That's the unfortunate result of being a Stressed University student with not much money at the time aha. No problem though ill take it to a PC repair place see if they can specify the errors/solutions etc and worst comes to worst ill Save up and get something else (with the right research this time)👍

If you take it to 3rd party repair you’ll void your warranty. Just raise an RMA with PCS. It’s stoll in warranty.

Its amazing how many people have no clue what a warranty is!

Ok so I've resat GPu and the screens come one at UEFI BIOS Utility screen and there's no more error morse code so cheers to you and the other guy. Now just to double check, Is there anything I should do On the BIOs screen or just F10 save and exit??

You could look at the XMP profiles for the RAM to get it to run at it's rated speed of 3200MHz rather than the default speed for the type which is 2400MHz for DDR4.

Also...don't apply any high performance or extreme profiles on the CPU otherwise it might cook as alluded to by Spyder. Motherboard manufacturers had the habit of pushing the CPU and with the issues with 13th and 14gen processors this caused a lot of failures. Run the CPU at stock intel speeds.

Even at stock it will thermal throttle on that cooler.
