Hi There. This is my Old Gaming PC Which i gave to my mate as he wanted to get into PC Gaming.. He was wondering would he be able to install a 3060ti without upgrading anything else or not If not. What GPU Would he be able to install... Thanks.

Yes he could, the power requirements between the 1070ti and 3060ti are almost identical, and the thermals are also slightly better on the 3060ti.
. The question if it's worth it.
If he's gaming at 1080p/60hz then probably not . If he wants 4k gaming then no again, probably not quite going to get there.
But for 1440 gaming then they would see some benefit I should think, but quite pricey. It's still a good gaming PC for 1080p.

I gave him that pc to put him on for time being till he can afford a new pc rig. I also gave him a 27" 1920x1080p 144hz gaming Monitor. He was just thinking about upgrading the GPU.

For ray tracing, the 3060ti is a good option, even if it bottlenecks the screen until he's ready to upgrade to 1440p.

I'd say it's a good investment.

I’ll be interested to see what the 3050 brings to the table, that’s got the potential to be the future go to 1080p card if what I’ve been reading is true 👍
