I'd like to ask if anyone knows if the Octane II has a Clevo motherboard, I need this information before buying it because I want to know if I can upgrade the GPU (e.g. from a 970m to a 980m or 1080m in the future). I know that it has an MXM 3.0b GPU slot but since there are different types of 980m and 970m, (like there are ones for Alienware laptop models and ones for certain Clevo chassis models) I need to know for sure if any N16E-GX 980m or any N16E-GT 970m will work on the Octane II.

You would be better to contact PCS themselves as this forum is ran on a voluntary basis with only the occasional staff drop in.
I believe the Clevo chassis all come with Clevo motherboards already in them. PCS effectively buy the barebones and then plug in the options. I can't say for certain though as I don't work there.
