Nvidia Geforce 2070 Super - Nvidia Experience needed?

Hi,

I setup my new PCS desktop build a few days ago and checked the graphics card driver version and there was a newer version released on the 3rd Feb.

Is it best to install and use the Nvidia Experience software, even though you need to create an account to use it?

Or could I just check for newer drivers manually on the Geforce website from time to time, uninstall the existing drivers and then reboot the PC and install the newer one?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.

Thank you.

Nvidia Experience is for the overlays, FPS counter, Shadow Play & Geforce Now streaming (Streaming to other devices etc). If you don't use any of that and you aren't likely to you don't need to install it.

I would recommend not using Geforce Experience for driver updates, and installing driver updates downloaded manually from the nvidia/geforce website. To install driver updates just download the update package, run it, and I usually do a custom/clean install rather than the express install. You don't need to uninstall the old ones first.

However, you can still use Geforce Experience, not for updates but for the other features it offers.
