I wanted to buy a new computer because this one I am using is 6-7 years ago and I wanted to buy a new one for gaming and I have a budget of £700-£900 I will most likely be playing games like world of Warcraft, the upcoming elder scroll online or maybe games like battlefield and far cry 3 and I am not sure what I want or what I need. I am not an expert on computers so please simplified your advice for a noob.

So this is what I am thinking at the moment

Furthermore when I receive my pc, will it have window 7 installed or Do I need to install everything myself?
I am thinking of buying a monitor from here is it worth it?
Do I need any wires to connect my pc to the tv because all in have is a hdmi cable

8GB of ram is more than enough for gaming
The DVD drive will run any games disks,windows7 will be installed with all the necessary drivers,PCS sell IIyama monitors which get a lot of good reviews and the HDMI cable you have is all you need,assuming your tv has an HDMI port..

I'm no expert....I ask for advice normally, not really qualified to give it.

But as you've only got 1 hard drive, I'd go for the Caviar Black simply because its known for its quality and reliability.

Thats £15 extra, taking total to £900 exactly.

Probably wouldn't take the Norton Anti Virus either, my experience with it has been bad in general.

Yes you'll need a wireless card as your motherboard doesn't have on board wifi.
Or there's the option of home plugs but I've never used them so don't know much about them to be honest.

Yes you will either need a wireless card or get some homeplugs if you want to connect 'wirelessly'
Homeplugs are wired, but you only need it wired as far as a plug socket at either end as they use the electrical wiring in your house as a network.

Personally I found nothing wrong with Norton Antivirus 2011 when I used it for a year, though before then, probably about 2007 -2008 (not sure exactly when, I'm guessing about the dates) it was a hideous CPU hog and this tainted many peoples views on it, it has improved dramatically since then.

Though at the moment I use MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials - its free) and some anti-malware thing.

Yes,you will need the PCI card to connect wirelessly,sorry I missed that.
Nothing wrong with norton antivirus,it's not the resource hog it used to be.

In all fairness, it was probably around 2008 when I stopped using it - for exactly those reasons. It gets everywhere too, even Months later I kept finding bits of it and eventually had to do a clean install. Knocked 30 seconds off my boot up time!

Since then I've used Avira or AVG, both free and both have protected me well. Also have spybot which I run once in a while, also free.
