Set sata mode in bios to AHCI before you install windows on the SSD,
Usually this setting is in integrated peripherals in bios.(main/storage configuration)
or check your motherboard manual on how to do this.
Instructions on doing a clean install of windows should be in the welcome booklet.
After the install, activate windows if not already done, then Install drivers, motherboard drivers first, insert motherboard disk and run setup,
then install GPU driver from disk provided, you can always update this later if you want from manufacturers website.
Check in device manager that all is well.
Install antivirus program, then run windows update.

Iv noticed that it comes with cloning software ... Do I still need to enable the ACHI ? Is it a go idea to clone or fresh install would be better?

I would still make sure the SSD is set to AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) in bios, before attempting the migration/cloning software method.

At the mo it on IDE and if I set it to ACHI I get bsod
Your probably setting the OS drive to AHCI,I suggest you take out the OS drive, then set SSD to AHCI in bios and do a clean install as described in the welcome book. You can then replace the old drive and format it from the OS on the SSD.
Make sure you back up any data you want before doing a clean install.
The cloning software might set the drive to AHCI,I'm not sure about that, but you could give it a try first if you want.Make sure the SSD is connected to a SATA 3.0 (SATA 6 Gb/s) port on the motherboard.I'm assuming you have a desktop PC.
