Hiya all

Ive been wondering if its possible to change the shutdown screen from the default one and is it safe to do so without causing any problems to my machine.

The default one is a blue screen with a green leaf on it and although i dont see if for very long (like a couple of seconds) i also believe its the same screen you get when you log on.

If you try to mess with the background.bmp file in system32 it wont allow you to alter it. Does anyone know how i might achieve this?

The easiest way is to use a program such as tuneup utilities http://www.tune-up.com/download/

Lets you mess with themes and such, also has a few cool examples that people have made. 30 day demo for free.
