Hi guys. I got a beasty machine from pcspecialist last year and im delighted with it :D, been playing the bf3 beta and im loving it. ultra'd out and never drop bellow 60 fps. problem is my friend. he likes the game as well, but he has an older rig.
he cant afford a whole new computer, so he wants to get a new graphics card.
his current build is:

6 gigs ddr2 ram,

nVIDIA MCP7A mother board,
QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, 2833 MHz processor

geforce GT 130 graphics card 1536MB.

the graphics card he is thinking of getting is a GTX560 Ti 1GB 256bit DDR5 PCI-E
my question (well, his question :p) is, would this graphics card be compatible with the rest of his rig?

(he has a 400w PSU btw)

thanks for your help!!!

What is his motherboard specificially? The MCP7A merely gives the spec of the integrated GPU on the board afaik. However, assuming his motherboard has a PCI-E slot @ 16x then it should be alright, however it would be pushing it with a 400w power supply.

Got to agree - that card can gobble nearly 300W on it's own.
