Hey!

I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself!

I'm Kayyybee.
You can find me on gaming platforms under the same name. (XBL/PSN/STEAM) etc
I just ordered my first build from PCS and I'm excited to say the least!

My new gaming laptop will sit alongside my old Alienware X51 and will most likely be used 95% of the time.
I got this new laptop because I will be studying Computer science going into game development next year and wanted something to do my work on as well as game on! If you're wondering how i could afford things, the education is an at-home degree as i work full time unfornately!

Hi Kayyybee and welcome to the forums!

Your build looks very nice. Will you be using it for things other than gaming? I ask because 32GB is a huge amount of RAM and there are very few applications that will even get close to using that much, 16GB is generally plenty except for extreme memory bound applications (like complex video editors). Also, the 2TB SSD is very nice if you can afford it, but user data generally does not get that much of a benefit from being on an SSD, and music and video gets no benefit at all. You might have been able to save some money there too by opting for a smaller SSD for Windows and programs and a big WD Black for user data.

I'm sure you're happy with your build though.

Hey!

I'll be using the laptop with Surround (at times) and aside from gaming, I'll be using it for game development projects with corresponding apps like Unreal/Unity etc. I probs could have saved some money but I'm really bad at wanting to have big numbers

I'm extremely happy! Hopefully it'll be on it's way early next week!
