Do I need to buy a heavy integrated PC with all the top to mid-top components like i9, ASUS ROG Maximus Z790, 16/24 GB Nvidia rtx 4080?
My primary purpose in getting a PC is to stream live on Twitch. But it doesn’t have to be big games Streaming. it could be as simple as streaming chess to top-rated graphical games. Can I not buy a decent equipped graphics card PC and connect my ps5 to help me stream live?

Because I'm really struggling with a budget to get a PC, if I wanna stream Fifa 23 one day rather than Chess, will I have to get a costly PC?

Please guide me on this.

It's impossible to say without you providing the information we require?

Max budget just means how much you're willing to spend.

If you just want to stream playstation you don't need a pc at all, just a streaming box.

Actually, you can stream direct from the PS5 to twitch (or YouTube) without buying anything extra. The reason a lot buy PCs to capture the stream is so they can add overlays etc onto it.

If you are capturing PS5 output (you will need a capture card of course), then the PC doesn't need to be very high spec....I used to stream from my Xbox and capture with a 6 core CPU and 2060 Super GPU and the PC barely even registered that I was doing anything....CPU usage rarely went above 10%, GPU usage was negligible.

If you are going to be gaming on the PC and streaming at the same time, then the hardware will need to be stronger of course....however, if the highest graphics games will be things like FIFA, then it doesn't need to be a top end PC as FIFA isn't graphically intensive.

Ultimately, you need to decide what is the maximum you are comfortable spending. I just had a quick play with the configurator on a last gen AMD system and, for gaming and streaming at the same time, the rough minimum would be around £1500 (assuming you have a 1080p monitor)...that would be based on a Ryzen 5700x CPU and a NVIDIA 3060Ti GPU.
You don't need a PC for Playstation capture, a Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ can do it fine on it's own.

But the 4k60 S+ still needs a computer at some point...if you use it standalone, it only records the content so you can later upload it via a computer to wherever (far as I can tell). For live streaming, it would still need to be connected to a computer
Yeah, you're right, my bad, it's purely offline capture, not streaming, I thought they'd bridged that. I'm sure there is a little micro PC type dedicated capture card that does, maybe I dreamt it salivating at the thought

Thank you, guys, for your responses.

Basically, I'm confused about one thing. If I want to stream live on my youtube or Twitch while playing from Ps, why do I need a capture card coz I have no idea what it does and what are overlays?

So, Overall, if I can have a normal PC with a decent motherboard and graphic card but add a capturing card in to help record my gaming and stream live parallel considering I'm playing from my Ps is that what I'm getting the right scenario?

My initial budget is £2k. I can try my best to extend it to £3k but then I will have to wait a couple of weeks to accumulate those money. But, I'm having the urge to stream myself and go live. I don't want to come to a situation where I got a £2k PC but it's not enough for everything I might be doing it for.

Thanks a lot for your message!

I've never streamed before. All I don't want is to just play the game but I wanna speak too with a mic like other streamers does. The best example I can give to you is xqc or ninja on Twitch.

So, I guess ultimately I might need a fully equipped pc with all stream accessories like a mic, camera etc. I just wanna connect to as many people while streaming could be games or reaction videos etc..

Have you stopped streaming? how was it like and do you just do gaming for fun now?
